The expected results might involve the analysis, design and development of: i) methods for explicitly or implicitly collecting manual selections from expert pathologists; ii) learning methods and tools for automated identification of tumoral areas, from manually identified selections; iii) descriptors of texture for regions of interest; and iv) annotation of regions of interest with qualitative labels.
